trying to start Photoshop "4" on my HP computer and when it try's to start Photoshop 4 it returns with a memory error of "not enough memory to open Photoshop" It would open it before I added extra RAM memory, (from 512 to 1024). It has not affected Photoshop "6" on my system but was trying to use "4" as a Photoshop Lite to do some things quickly. Any ideas as to a patch or work around for the extra memory?
Thanks!

Try reinstalling it . I know photoshop 4 is a small program just in case you need to download load it.
Uninstall and then install.
That may do the trick
It probably got corrupt shutting down the pc with the Power Button instead of logging off Windows.
Do you really think photoshop 6 is going to run slow with that much ram?
I am running Photoshop Cs2
with less ram than that and it runs smooth.

I don't have a solution...but why use such an old version?
even PS 6 is a few years old...should run just great on that 1gb or RAM....
