Title: Dell XP Pro CD Crack

My Dell bite the dust, so I ended up rebuilding it. New Processor, MB, HDs, etc.  I am trying to use the XP Pro CD I had with my Dell to install it on the new computer, but it won't install.  

Does anyone have a way to use the Dell CD to install XP on a new (non-Dell) computer?  I know I can get MS to allow me to use the code again, it is just a matter of getting the CD to work.

what is the error or problem exactly?
what does it do?  how far does it get?
you may have to change XP from an OEM to a retail version since OEM can be tied to hardware.
