Title: Win32.P2P-Worm.Alcan.a Infection
Post by: somedudewithaworm on October 21, 2005, 02:11:14 PM
Okay, I am one of the many victims of this contagous Worm that lurks and attacks in every P2P program. I, for one, have searched through every forum with every bit of help and detail about this thing and none of them have worked for me.

Now, i would use "HijackThis" to display a generated log, but everytime I try to download it from guestolo's signature, McAFee detects another worm called "W32/Generic.worm!p2p", but cleans it before it does any harm. Here's a picture: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/dar...v/goddammit.jpg (http://\"http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/darkobliv/goddammit.jpg\")

I've even tried downloading Hijackthis from Download.com and Majorgeeks.com. All that happens is it just ends up getting deleted automaticly or something after I try to run it.

Is there something I can do to fix this to where I can download it or better yet, another way to get rid of this P2P worm?

Please first register to the forum, it's a free and simple process

I've heard of this happening when McAfee's is out of date
Make sure you check for updates with McAfee, before trying to downloading Hijackthis

Then come back to this post and try downloading hijackthis from my signature below
Save it too a permanent folder on your hard drive
Post the log from hijackthis
