I just put together a budget machine for a friend. It's a Foxconn NF4K8AB-RS mobo, Sempron 2800 CPU with a Leadtek PX6200 vid card in the PCI express slot. When I boot up, lights come on and fans spin, but there is no video...the screen is dead with no indication that power is even getting to the screen. I even tried an old PCI x1 vid card that I have and got the same result. Am I missing something here or is the mobo bad? Hints? Ideas? Thanks!

Is something loose? When I had a prob like that my vid card wasn't inserted firmly.

i say the vid card is screwed or maybe theres dust in the slot or something.

i had the same problem 2 times i had an gateway 2000 2 times i just went and bay a new power supply and it work perfect after that

Well first i would check the monitor switch it out with a different one. Then if theres an built in video port i would connect the monitor to that not to the graphic card. If that then works go into the bios and check the video settings to see if the board is reading from the right place, ex options: AGP, PCI, PCIexpress or wat ever the option for that is. of that dont work then try the power supply if you are still having problems take the computer into the backyard put some fireworks in it (the good ones) and blow it up and buy a new one and im serious
