Title: can connect from one pc

i have real vnc and so does my brothers pc. from his pc i can connect to mine easily. but from my pc i can not connect to his???? what the [censored]! it is frusterating me! i have his i.p. address right but i keep getting "unable to connect to host: connection timed out (10600)" please help !!!!!!!!!!!

thanks, but ive already looked at all of that. theres nothing different about how my vnc is configured than his is configured. his works to view mine, but mine wont view his

u tried this?

"Why can't my VNC viewer connect to my VNC server?
VNC requires TCP/IP network connectivity between the viewer and server computers. A simple test is to use the ping utility. If you can't ping from your viewer to your server, and vice-versa, than VNC will not work!"

im sorry, i have no clue how to "ping" this is the first day in my life ive ever heard of it. im not an idiot on computers though, just dont know what the hell ping means
