Title: win98 second version serial number

Hey Guys, I need some hardcore help, cuz im dead in the water, I installed win2k on my system and this dang thing is frezzing big time, especially with all the legacy hardware, scanner, etc
anyway i have the win98 second edition CD but dont have the serial number, and i dont know what to put in there when its asking for one.
bail me out of this one please !!!!!!!!!!

I got the same problem! I been trying to find how to find the key on the disc but with not much luck. I would really appreciate any help. ThanX

They key is not on the CD, unless you put it there yourself or it\'s a special OEM copy (look for msbatch.inf...if you don\'t see it then you\'re out of luck).  Now if you currently have win98 installed you can search the registry for \"productid\" and get your key that way (not of any use to you, but maybe it\'ll help someone else with a similar question).
