I'm running a bit short on time tonight
Your log definitely needs attention
But can you do the following first
Can you open "MyComputer"
Double click to open Local Disk C: drive
Right click an empty spot and left click NEW>>Folder
A new folder will be placed in the C: folder , name it BFU
So you now have C:\BFU
Download and save p2pnetwork.zip (http://\"http://www.thetechguide.com/forum/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=426\")
Then UNZIP it to the BFU Folder
Download and save and then UNZIP to the BFU folder
BFU.zip (http://\"http://www.merijn.org/files/bfu.zip\")
So you now have BFU.exe extracted
============================================
Please disable AdWatch, as it may hinder the removal of some entries.
To disable AdWatch:
Open AdAware SE.
Go to AdWatch User Interface.
Go to Tools and Preferences.
At the bottom of the screen you will see 2 options Active and Automatic.
Active: This will turn Ad-Watch On\Off without closing it.
Automatic: Suspicious activity will be blocked automatically.
Uncheck both options. You can enable these after resolving your problem.
But please keep the options disabled until I give the all clear
===============================================
Open the BFU folder
Double click to run BFU.exe
Use the "Open Script file" button (the folder icon next to Scriptfile to execute)
Navigate to p2pnetwork.bfu in the BFU folder
Right click p2pnetwork.bfu and choose Select
In Brute Force Uninstaller select Execute
Let it finish then Exit
Next:
Could you run an Online virus scan at Panda's please
The link is in my signature below
It's safe to give a valid email address
Choose to scan "Local Disks"
When the scan is complete select See Report
Save this report to desktop and then copy and paste the whole report back here
Also:
I need the following
Open Hijackthis>>Open Misc tools section>>Open Uninstall Manager
Click the SAVE LIST button
Save this list to your desktop
Then copy and paste the whole contents back here
-

Also, when i scanned my computer, there seems to like at least 7,000 "infected files" all in the C:uploads folder. and when i try to find the folder, i can't seem to find it. i feel like my computer is going to end up with no memory. is there any way to remove all those files in the C:uploads folder?
-
I've have to know what you accomplished in my previous posts
We still have some work to do
You don't appear to have run BFU.exe in the way I described????
If you did, could you make sure you do this again
Can you open "MyComputer"
Double click to open Local Disk C: drive
Right click an empty spot and left click NEW>>Folder
A new folder will be placed in the C: folder , name it BFU
So you now have C:\BFU
Download and save p2pnetwork.zip
Then UNZIP it to the BFU Folder
Download and save and then UNZIP to the BFU folder
BFU.zip
So you now have BFU.exe extracted
Open the BFU folder
Double click to run BFU.exe
Use the "Open Script file" button (the folder icon next to Scriptfile to execute)
Navigate to p2pnetwork.bfu in the BFU folder
Right click p2pnetwork.bfu and choose Select
In Brute Force Uninstaller select Execute
Let it finish then Exit
==Download and Install this small program
to help clean your temp folders,cookies, etc...
Windows Cleanup! 4.0 (http://\"http://downloads.stevengould.org/cleanup/CleanUp40.exe\")
Set Windows To Show Hidden Files and Folders
* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Uncheck the Hide Extensions for known file types
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.
Navigate to the following folder
C:\Uploads
Open it and delete any zip files you didn't download to that folder
==Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):
* Empty Recycle Bins
* Delete Cookies
* Delete Prefetch files
* Cleanup! All Users
Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.
When it's done, decline to log off or restart the computer
Go to NewDotNet's site and use procedure 4
Save the uninstaller to your desktop
Double click to run it and follow the prompts
http://www.newdotnet.com/removal.html (http://\"http://www.newdotnet.com/removal.html\")
You also now have 2 Anti-Virus software, this is not good as this will cause conflicts
Please uninstall one
I suggest you keep Avast
Additionally in Add/Remove programs can you remove
Context Display
Viewpoint Media Player
Also, do the following
Do another scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:
