hi,
people have been telling me that rambus mem. should be placed in pairs
other people however, have told me that that\'s bull[censored], that they can be placed in singles and that you need a terminator?
who should i beleve?

First, DDR RAM and RDRAM (a.k.a. Rambus RAM) are two completely different things. Now, for the Rambus question...it depends on the motherboard. I know the newer i850 boards require the ram to be installed in pairs. The first boards out did not need them to be installed in pairs. I am not certain if the i850 was the first chipset to require pairs or not though.
