Title: Sony Copyright protection went too far.

Sony embedded computer anti-piracy software in millions of music disks/downloads which were subsequently recalled due to its opening a backdoor virus opportunity in user's PCs.  The removal tool provided by Sony after recalling some 63M disks the software was put on, left a gaping security hole in Operating Systems.

Microsoft has apparently decided to fix the problem and presumably closed the security hole with this tool.  I assume it will only work on Win XP systems, as that is the only platform supported by their antispyware program.  I may be wrong, try it anyway.

Very big, little known/advertised problem in the music industry.

This is the inoculation.
