Title: Problems with NVIDIA & WinXP
Post by: VatoLoco on November 27, 2001, 05:43:23 PM
Is anyone else having problems with the driver for an NVIDIA card (more specifically a TNT2, nv4.dll).  This happens almost every day, but only when I\'m opening or closing or moving or playing or minimizing or maximizing or scrolling or pasting in Windows XP Pro.  I\'ve updated the driver from both the Microsoft site & from the NVIDIA site, the updates on MS have worked the best so far, but still I crash.  Any info or hopes for a better future would be greatly appreciated.  Oh, and in case it matters I have a Compaq Presario 7000 with an MV740 Compaq monitor.

Hi Vatoloco

I also had problem with nVIDIA chip with ALI. OS was Win2K now  I am using TUSL2-C no prob.

First Of All: Try to see on Compaq site what do they say about it .

Or try to go BIOS setup and choose ASSIGN IRQ to your VGA .
