WOW %1 that is pretty bad. I would recommend formatting your hard drive, and then do a fresh reinstall of your OS.

Let's try the following please
By the way, I just noticed you've been here before letting me know that everything was fine
Actually, you still showed signs of malware on your computer
I hope you do finish the below instructions this time to make sure we get you clean
It seems like a bit of work, but it's actually not that bad, please try and do it all!

I see you have Ad-Aware, good move, but could I also have you download and install
Spybot 1.4 from
HERE (http://\"http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10122137.html?part=104443&subj=dlpage&tag=button\")
 or HERE (http://\"http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html\")

After installation--Click the UPDATE button on the left
SEARCH FOR UPDATES on the right
Check the boxes and then download all updates
After update is complete
Close out for now, we'll need it later

Open Ewido anti-malware
From the main ewido screen, click on Update in the left menu, then click the Start update button.
After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")
Close out Ewido for now, we'll need it later
If for some reason the Updater won't work can you manually download the
Updates from this
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/updates/ (http://\"http://www.ewido.net/en/download/updates/\")

==Download and Install
Windows Cleanup! 4.0 (http://\"http://downloads.stevengould.org/cleanup/CleanUp40.exe\")
Don't run this yet,

==Can you go HERE (http://\"http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html\")
and download and save to your desktop
WinsockXP Fix
We may not need it, but we have in just in case we do
Don't run this please unless needed
******************************************************
When I ask you too download a zip file, make sure you choose SAVE TO DISK rather than Open
Can you open "MyComputer"
Double click to open Local Disk C: drive
Right click an empty spot  and left click NEW>>Folder
A new folder will be placed in the C: folder , name it BFU
So you now have C:\BFU

Please download Brute Force Uninstaller (http://\"http://www.merijn.org/files/bfu.zip\")
Reminder, choose SAVE rather than OPEN
Then Extract (UNZIP) the contents to the (C:\BFU) folder you just made
So you now have C:\Bfu\bfu.exe

RIGHT CLICK HERE (http://\"http://metallica.geekstogo.com/p2pnetwork.bfu\")
 and choose "Save As" (in IE it's "Save Target As") in order to download  Alcra Remover.
Save it in the folder you made earlier (c:\BFU)
So you now have C:\Bfu\p2pnetwork.bfu
*********************************************************

==Open Notepad (START>>>RUN>>>type in notepad)
Hit OK
Copy the contents of the CODE box to notepad, not including the word "code"
Paste to the empty notepad file
In Notepad click FILE>>SAVE AS
Change the Save as Type to All Files.
Name the file as remjob.bat
Save this file on the desktop
We'll need it later
Code: [Select]
%systemdrive%
cd C:\WINDOWS\Tasks
attrib -r -s -h DBEEAEA79561B8A7.job
del DBEEAEA79561B8A7.job

Please save these instructions to a Notepad file and save it to your Desktop for reference
or Print them out!

C:\Program Files\webHancer <-this folder
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\readme show this itch <-this folder
C:\Documents and Settings\Rick\Application Data\CASTBU~1 <-this folder, I'm not sure of the exact name, but it will start with 'CASTBU'
C:\Documents and Settings\Rick\Application Data\MULTIW~1 <-this folder, I'm not sure of the exact name, but it will start with 'MULTIW'

==Open Ewido anti-malware
Click on the Scanner button on the left menu
Select Complete System Scan
*If Ewido finds something it will prompt you with "Infected Object found"
Ensure the following are Selected
  *1. Perform Action = Remove
  *2. Create Encrypted Backup in Quarantine (Recommended)
  *3. Perform action with all infections
    Then click OK
When Ewido has finished it's scan click the "Save Report" button

=Do a "System scan only" with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries:
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {CE962ADF-BBF3-4329-86C8-D32E8D7AE201} - (no file)

After you have ticked the above entry, close All other open windows
Including this one
Leave Hijackthis open and click FIX CHECKED
OK the prompt and exit Hijackthis

Reboot the computer

Back in Windows let me know how things are running
The log from Ewido would of helped as it gives me more info
I'll have to trust that everything is fine???
It's very important to follow the instructions!!!!

Okay, let's see if we can find anything else hiding

Use Internet Explorer and Run the online Panda ActiveScan (http://\"http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan?NRMODE=Published&NRORIGINALURL=%2factivescan.htm&NRNODEGUID=%7b3B202047-35D4-4DA2-B310-B1DBEC2971F2%7d&NRCACHEHINT=Guest\")
    * Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button.
    * A new window will open...click the big Check Now button.
    * Enter your Country.
    * Enter your State/Province.
    * Enter your e-mail address.
    * Select either "Home User or Company."
    * Click the big Scan Now button.
    * Allow the ActiveX component to install and download the files required for the scan. This may take a couple of minutes.
    * Click on Local Disks to start the scan.

When the scan is complete
 click See Report, then click Save Report and save it to your Desktop.

Post this report back here please

Also,
Save Silent Runners.vbs (http://\"http://www.silentrunners.org/Silent%20Runners.vbs\") to your desktop and double click on it to run. You don't have to click yes or no, it will still run
If prompted by your AV, please let this script run, we are just collecting information

 This will create a text file on your desktop
Open the text file and copy and paste the contents back here

NOTE: let silentrunners completely finish, it should prompt when it is done

Additionally, open your task manager
open the Processes tab, leave it open, let me know what's using the CPU

This entry here in your log
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ProxyChecker] C:\Program Files\AnonySurf\CheckProxy.exe

I can't find much info on it..
Is AnonySurf still installed?
Did you knowingly install it?

I don't see it in the running processes
You may of removed it
and a leftover

Can you have hijackthis fix checked that entry please
Reboot the computer

Come back here and post a fresh hijackthis log
Include the Whole log please, you keep cutting off the top part of the log, which includes hijackthis version and Operating system

Could you also
Download F-Secure's BlackLight from HERE (http://\"http://www.europe.f-secure.com/exclude/blacklight/blbeta.exe\") and save it to your Desktop.
Locate and double click blbeta.exe to run it - you will need to accept the license agreement.

Click the Scan button to start and then Next when it has finished scanning.
Don't rename any files if found, I want to see the log first, legit files can be found
A text file, fsbl-date/time, will be saved to your Desktop, copy and paste this into your next post.

You can delete this folder then if found as you didn't install this
C:\Program Files\AnonySurf <-this folder

What's the name of the program or file that uses the CPU???

Let's look into regular maintenance, when was the last time you ran a DiskDefragment on this computer?

Title: Is my comp dead?
Post by: guestolo on February 14, 2006, 06:05:28 PM
It's probably time
I suggest maybe even running in safe mode
Limited what runs on startup that way
Go to START>>Programs>>accessories>>System tools>>Disk Defragmenter
Click the Defragment button
Give this time to finish if you have never done it, it could take awhile
