Title: Managing forums
Post by: Grassyass on February 22, 2006, 11:14:24 PM
Seriously I'll give this straight,

YOu really need to improve the memebrs here; there should be a 20-40 post count for you to access for sale/wanted forum. I mean half these people are scammers and mods should ban these scammers.

O yes btw, middle men should be used!! (mm)

A highly respected memebr should middleman, ones I knwo z spec and allanon. Basically your buying mills. The seller gives to mm you send payment, he recieves mm give money to you! Pretty simple usually mm's get payed 10k or 5%

I like that idea...people should need at least 50 posts to access the For Sale/Wanted forum and there should be official Middle Men to manage trades.

It's possible, but would require setting up different levels of members, changing permissions around, would be an extra thing to take care of.  But I'll look into it.

I'm testing this out now.  New members are now put in the Newbie group.  Those members will have all their topics moderated (just new topics, not replies, though this can easily be changed) in all the forums except for Referrals, Frag Fest, and Runescape.  We'll likely moderate them in Frag Fest and Runescape in the future, Referrals will remain a free for all.

Also, posts in the Referrals forum will no longer count towards a member's total post count.

Few other changes have been made which I'll go over later.

well, buying online outside of ebay and other aution or offer site is a huge risks, but so many people do it anyways. I almost got scammed on another forum, but i was smart enough to know when somebody is trying to scam me
