Title: VPN problem with ZoneAlarm and Azereus
Post by: gooshto on March 10, 2006, 07:39:40 AM
I have recently upgraded to a 10mb connection.

I've used Azereus for a while and had no problems.

Recently though I keep getting a message from ZoneAlarm saying "VPN traffic is trying to get through would you like ZoneAlarm to automatically configure it?"

I don't know for sure if it's Azereus that is requesting this.  ZoneAlarm doesn't mention what software is requesting VPN.

I've tried to look into the logs of ZoneAlarm but all it mentions is TCP flags and UDP along with IP addresses.  I see no mention of VPN requests.

The problem is!  The internet connection gets terminated because of this  /mad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'\' />

I like to leave the machine on with Azereus running and when I come back it's stopped and there is just the annoying pop up message from ZoneAlarm asking whether to allow VPN traffic.

Azereus can run for hours without this happening, and it's only been the last week that it's happened.

Also, my ISP (for some strange reason) have changed my IP address.  Don't think that would have anything to do with it though because it has never needed a VPN before.

Thanks for any advice  /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
