Title: having trouble playing burnt dvd rom on dvd player

i have a roxie cd dvd copier .6 im haveing trouble playing the burnt movies on my home dvd player. what am i doing wrong? the dvd disc i use is memorex dvd R 4.7 GB i download movies from the internet and burn them onto dvds do i have the wrong kind of cd rom?[/b]

the probability is you burnt the movies to a dvd+r disk and a lot of home dvd players wont read it,a lot of home dvd players have no problem reading movies burnt to dvd-r disk

I would also add that your DVD player may be to old or possibly not compatible.
Some cheaper DVD players simply won't play them (I have an APEX that hates them but eventually will play them).
Also, if the movie you downloaded is not compatible for your country (i.e. PAL or NTSC) then the disc you burned my not play in some older DVD players (newer ones will play both).
