Title: NT4 and > 2GB Partitions
Post by: Gouk on December 17, 2001, 11:36:58 AM
I have installed NT4 Workstation with Service Pack 6a on a NTFS partition which is 2Gb (by default it seems). I would like to have this partition use the full 40Gb (this is also the only partition on the HDD)

I also have the new Atapi.sys file too.

How can I do this?

Thx!

I think it\'s possable if you can update your bood disks with the files from the service pack, it may be a  case of copy and paste the files as required!, try copying the contents of the boot flopies into there own folders on your HDD and then type
dir /b >files to get.txt and using the file created copy the files listed within your NT4 dir into a copy of you boot disks[/i] and see if you have any more luck with your partitioning.

If you dont want to re-install you could try partition magic or  Ranish Partition Manager  (http://\"http://www.ranish.com/part/\") to adjust the partition with a very good chance of no data loss
