Hey,I\'m new to 2000pro.Where can I find the section that allows me to remove items at start up?
I tried to run msconfig, but it tells me it can\'t find it.
Thanks for any help.

to the best of my knowledge you can\'t do it from inside windows 2000 as it comes but I there is a version of msconfig ripped from windows xp that works for 2k at the downloads section of this site. I\'m using it

Hey,thanks wdygfy1.This seems to be a great program.
If I only knew how to delete one of the entries in the boot.ini.
When I installed 2000pro with ME for some reason at boot up
It shows
WINDOWS 2000 PRO
WINDOWS 2000 PRO
WINDOWS
The second listing for 2000pro is no good.

Right-click the boot.ini file (it\'s in the root of c:, you will probably need to be able to view hidden and system files to see it) and click properties. Uncheck the read-only attribute. Now double-click the file and edit that part out. You can re-check the read-only attribute if you want to now.
