Title: I think there is an virus in my com .
Post by: szaku on June 15, 2006, 11:55:29 AM: After i get into the Windows , I realised my KAspersky antivirus is not running , I can't open it manually . What surprised me is that when i checked in the Process in the Task Manager , there shows the file is running . But I can't see it anywhere else .

I've never ran Kaspersky's AV on my computers
I can see it however in the following directory
D:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal\kav.exe

What version are you running? And is it right up to date
Has your subscription expired?

Problem is you don't want to use both
Make sure you uninstall Kaspersky's and reboot before installing Avast
