How about we all get together and pitch in for an MSDN subscription?  As far as I can tell, as long as we all are part of the same organization (the [PC] store for example) then we can share the software.  Just to make sure, I\'ll make sure each person who pitches in is given a different piece of software (so we share the subscription, but not individual pieces of software).

For example, Dexter may want Win2k Pro (just assume, I know he really has it).  He\'d pitch in say, $75 for it.  Gear over there would like WinMe.  He gives $50.  Some weirdo wants Win3.1.  We all laugh at him and give it for free /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

And, it\'s all legal, fullversion software!  Woohoo!  Just reply telling me if you\'re interested or not, and what software you want.  If enough people are interested we\'ll get a sub (I\'ll pay the most amount, since I\'ll get what\'s leftover unless it\'s all claimed).  It\'s first come first serve, so if you want whatever would be popular hurry!  If it\'s Win3.1, um, you have plenty of time /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

No the store\'s not up yet.  Working on getting the cash for that one.  With foruminstall.com up and being somewhat advertised now, I should be making a little bit more now.

Perhaps i could pre-order a copy of the next incarnation of Office? I hear that Microsoft will begin requiring registration with this next version. So, if you are indeed taking pre-orders, put me down for one.

Well, I figure $75-$100 would be good.  It\'d depend on just how many people signed-up for this.  If there\'s a lot of people, then I could make it less for everyone (I can afford a few hundred myself, I know I can resell that stuff here to make up the difference).  Even the upgrade version with the rebate (I think $70 if you\'re using WinNT4) is more than that.

That\'s my goal, to offer the fullversion for less than an upgrade.

Sure, though I have no idea when it\'ll even be released (or even what the price will be for that matter).

Going by current prices, the developer version costs $650 for an upgrade, plus there\'s a rebate for $40.  So our special [PC] price would be around $350.

If you don\'t need developer, you could probably pawn off the extra developer cd to someone who got the premium version (which would effectively make what you had the premium version and theirs the developer).

Shouldn\'t be a problem.  It\'s available in a zillion languages.  Yes folks, a zillion.  And MSDN includes every one of \'em.

what level of subscription are we talking about?  pro or universal?  cuase if we get the universial i want the visual studios...
