Title: XP Crack Check

How can I tell if my the crack I used did the trick?  I no longer get the annoyance of XP asking me to register/activate.  I though I read somewhere there is a command to check and see but I can\'t find it.

That post is kinda iffy...at least you are not asking for warez.  Please do not post replies asking for how he did it or anything related to warez, just answer with how he can check if XP needs to be activated or not.

Check out cmdinfo.exe from Savill Ltd.

It will tell you what version, how many days left, service pack... all kinds of useful info.

yeah..i guess you would run the command \"oobe/msoobe /a \"
and it\'ll tell you whether you\'ve activated the key or not..

after i install windows xp home edition. at the last self reboot, we will asked to register and activate.

can i remove this things, so i only want windows to ask about the use who will use this pc

i have heard that the sp1 release will prevent illegit xps to use windows update patches. is that true.
   i am having problems running windows update on my xp pro. It says page not found.
   is it due to that sp1 ?

any fixes for using windows update ?

Hey,
I have an original Windows XP Home Edition (Norweagian version) cd.
I installed it, (the cd came with the computer, but I had a harddrive death and had to reinstall Windows XP) but, after I reinstalled it, I get a message telling me I have to activate Windows within 30 days, BUT, when I type in the activation code printed on my computer, then I get that the code is invalid.
I tried to \"register with microsoft\" too in order to activate my windows, but it didn\'t work either, the code is not accepted.
So, what on earth am I supposed to do?
Btw, only the harddrive was formatted, nothing else was changed on the computer, so since nothing was changed, I don\'t understand at all why the activation code is not accepted

call into activate using the phone number givin.  just explain your situation and u should be activated in minutes.  same thing happened to me.
