he he, something for nothing and all that.. he he
- you might wanna tweak the gf2mx aswell... especially the memory bandwidth which is the limiting factor in gf performance
-
definitly
just because you have a fast processor speed, doesnt mean the rest of your system wont need a \'bit extra\' and if you clock the fsb, then the gains you will get will far outweigh the gains made by increasing your cpu speed even more....
fo instance, if you can clock your fsb by 15% then that gain will get devided down your pci bus so that your cards all run slightly quicker aswell. this could cause problems if your cards are old and sucky, but if they arent then you should see a great increase in performance by overclocking
get hold of a copy of a benchmarking program like sisoft sandra whilst you do your testing....

Might as well!

just ask yourself how do u overclock a 1600+XP? it allready runs @ 133Mhz and it aint a 266Mhz Chip i believe AMD scrapped that idea ~ N|tr0

Abit KG7 Is Just about the same as the KR7A-133R. The KG7 will over clock better if done right. I took a 1600+ At, And turn it into a MP. It now SCREAMS ! Cooling ,Not a Problem,It has 4 80mm Fans running
@ 89 CFM. Cooler is home made Copper. With one of these fans on the chip.(with and 60 to 80 Spacer) MOBO Temp 72 Deg. CPU 85-90 Deg. Ide and loaded.

If you can't clock and lock.....Get off the game grid !

For MR MooseDrool. I was wondering what software you are using for temperature monitoring, motherboard monitor? 90deg is very cool, my T-bird 1.4 @ 1.533 runs at about 100deg idle. Does your board have a temp probe touching the underside of the cpu's core?

i did something silly.
2.4 put onto about 6.5 ghz
lasted about 1.1 seconds.

Overclock?.... Just go out and see the light.... buy an Intel
