I am the only signature designer and i can take on multiple Sig/avy tasks.

hm....you probs misplaced the tool dude, i think theres an option to delete it, check if you may ave done that or not. (also you can switch through blur + smudge, that may be whats wrong). ^^

Btw i make my own renders with brushes.

Yeah, don't do that. Instead get brushes, mess around with them and get hang of them. Deviantart.com resource section is great for brushes.
