/smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' /> My friend is having problems with his comp, its got that bad that he can no longer get on the net so this is why I am posting this topic for him.
He uses Norton anti-virus and firewall.
But when he boots his comp he gets warning pop ups (not from norton) and when he could get online his browser goes to a site (can't remember it at the moment) that offers security downloads. He kept changing his homepage back to blank but it redirected back to that site everytime.

Extract the contents (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.
Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Also, can you delete Smitfraudfix.zip and the Smitfraud folder
They are outdated also
