I have a fairly recent computer built by myself with a corporate edition of windows XP on it. a few days ago my cd-writer failed so i bought a new one and also bought a bigger hard drive to replace the system drive currently in there. the problem i have is that windows XP refuses to fully load complaining about not being able to find a valid licencse. I copied the original partition on to the new drive as i don\'t want to re-install the OS. it will boot fine if i have both hard drives connected, but if i take the original one out it refuses.
Has anyone experienced anything similar and/or have a way around it. i really don\'t want to have to re-install XP
