Title: Can surf, but cannot login to sites

A friend is having a problem with internet access.  They have a Win XP machine running Firefox latest version.  They are in a hotel with WIFI and can surf the web fine, but when they try to login into HOT - mail or banking, it just times out.  Tried calling them for more details just now, if I hear from them, I will see if there is anymore details.

Any ideas?

Well my friend ended up calling toshiba and they had her do a reinstall from recovery disk.  3 weekold computer... what a joke.

could have something to do with the hotels wifi connection
