ok ive downloaded windows xp pro corporated edition it was zipped how do i burn it so i can boot from disk and format my hard drive and install windows? im having trouble with this step ive burned it to a cd and changed bios settings to boot from disk but it wont let me i put in my win 2000 disk to see if i changed bios settings right and it worked but the win xp cd i burnt wont, plz help me with this problem...

how did u burn the cd. did u tke the files out of the zip folder or did u burn the zip file as is (which obviously won't work). The only other way it won't work is if it didn't download properly or it's fake. IT should work by burning the files. you shouldn't need to make the disk bootable in any way.

duh, of course i didnt burn the zip.  i burnt the files in the zip directly, but i want to fresh install windows xp i dont want to upgrade ive heard that you comp runs like crap when you upgrade so if you could please answer my question and tell me how to make the disk bootable so i can format my hdd and have a fresh install of xp...

what the heck is runscape? i take it's a game, well anyway i dont play runscape so sorry... but im sure you could tell me for free its not like it gonna kill you... and stop trying to make money off of people asking for help its very rude and not appreciated so if someone could answer my question it would be very appreciated...
