Title: XP and Live Value
Post by: Anonymous on February 14, 2002, 05:22:32 AM
After installing a Geforce 3 Ti2000 my system lost the Creative Live Value from Device Manager.  It won\'t detect it on boot up.

I have tried installing the latest driver but it tells me I don\'t have a sound card in my machine?

Any ideas anyone?

try changing the creative soundcard pci to a different pci slot.
i had a Geforce3 then had same thing with audigy gamer x.  my system wasnt bootin, so i changed the location of the card to a closer pci slot to the AGP /wink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\';)\' />
besides they say VIA has problems with creative.

PS: next time list your system spects so ppl would know what u talkin about

Try buying a new card!  Look @ the forums on the Creative Labs web site & U\'ll C wot I mean.  XP, VIA & SBLive! don\'t really mix very well.  I had the same problem as U (& a few more!), now I have a Videologic Sonic Fury which works fine.
