You load the pic, then goto
Image, Mode, Colour Table, then load the pallete

Hi gilliam...after you\'ve download the palette..then open the bitmap files ( no.1,8 & 10) in Photoshop.After that, select \"Image\" --> \"Mode\" ----> \"Color Table\". Then you\'ll find a small window. Select the \" Load \" button and point to the palette you\'ve downloaded. Then, you\'ll shall see the original image behind those black color /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' /> Good Luck !!! and Happy editing.. /biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' />

I was editing my boot up screen using Photoshop, used the color table, got things the way I want them and when I try to load it using ResHack I get a invalid image message. I save the bmp as a 4bit, dont change the size.. (working on image 1, worked for image 10) any idea what im doing wrong?

Thanks for any help.

Photoshop seems to set the DPI values of the image automatically to 72x72 DPI. The boot logo however must be at 96x96 DPI, it\'s a mess with Photoshop but e-z to do with e.g. PSP.

Don\'t know it this will resolve your issue but still valuable for others who may read this thread, though.
