How to backup outlook inbox rules ?
and can I restore it if re-install OS on other computer ?

By rules we are talking about security settings right?

If so I use custom scripts to edit the settings after install.  Mostly regedits and permission changes for NT boxes though.  Don\'t think I ever tried on a 9x box.  The beauty is that it will work on any box at that point.

Hey twinkie and fellow readers. I think what this guy is talking about is the mail rules. and if this is the case here is how u do it.

HKEY_CURRENT_USERIdentities{A22B8381-BDB2-4F6D-B2C6-239BD98BDFCD}SoftwareMicrosoftOutlook Express5.0RulesMail

Just export this registery key and when it is time to get them back just lookup the new Identities string and change all of them in the reg file to match and then merge the file back into the registery
