y i cannot find report.txt in fixwareout folder n dun have a text file open when i Double click on find.bat
-
I see that you are possibly using both Symantec's Antivirus software and well as TrendMicro's(PCCillins')
It's never a good idea to have more than one AV running active protection in the background as they will cause conflicts with each other and cause system instabilities
I suggest that you either disable one entirely from runnin on startup within the program itself or uninstall one or the other
I'm sorry the way I copied>>pasted my instructions concerning blbeta.exe
Can you do the following
Set Windows To Show Hidden Files and Folders
* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Uncheck the Hide Extensions for known file types
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.
Manually navigate to the following files and rename them back proper
c:\Program Files\ASUSTek\ASUSDVD XP\cltest.exe.ren
c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\50\bin\TCPTEST.EXE.ren
c:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\wbemtest.exe.ren
Eg..Open MyComputer>>Open Local Disc C:>>Windows>>System32>>wbem>>
Right click wbemtest.exe.ren
Select Rename, remove the .ren so it looks as the following
wbemtest.exe
Do the same for the other 2 files
After you have renamed ONLY those 3 files back to what they were originally
Can you do the following
Open Hijackthis>>Open Misc tools section>>Open "Delete an NT service"
In the open box, copy>>Paste the following in bold and hit OK
Aol Software
Don't allow the computer to restart at the prompt, instead do the same for this one
Windows Spool Service
This time allow the computer to restart
When you try and run find.bat, do you get a prompt from your AV
Can you temporarily disable your AV's and try it again
If it still won't work. Download and save then unzip(Extract) to desktop
find2.zip from below so you now have find2.bat extracted
double click on find2.bat, a text file should open, can you copy>>Paste back the contents please
If a text file doesn't open, I would almost bet one of your AV's is interfering, not allowing any script to run
Either SpywareDoctor or one of your AV's is interfering with the fix
Or we need to download a fix to resolve the issue
When you try and run fixwareout.exe do you see an error message on the screen?
-
i have closed the av n spywaredoctor.
but i am stil cannot use find2.bat
when double click it
the program appeared a second then disappeared
wat is the problem that make my computer cannot open it?
so wat can i do now?
anyway
Thanks for helping!
-
Can I see a new Hijackthis log please
How is everything running?
Did you look within your AntiVirus software to ensure there isn't a setting to disable scripts from running?
Both PCCillin and Norton's has script blocking abilitly, if it's running, you probably won't get any of these files to run
Are you still running both AV's
I hope not!
Just by chance, is there a file called
C:\find.txt
If so, post the contents please
Will either fixwareout.exe or find2.bat run in safe mode?
-
here is my logfile
ok, i just use 1 antivirus(PCCillin)
n my computer din detected the WORM_SPYBOT.IJ again

Norton AntiVirus 2005 (Symantec Corporation) Ver: 11.0.1
Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 2006
You can't see that you still have 2 AntiVirus software installed?
I believe the ONLY way we can get any fixes too run is to uninstall ALL your AntiVirus software as well as SpywareDoctor
ALL of them, then after we have you clean you can reinstall them
You have a rootkit infection that comprises the security of your machine
Another option is to clean install your operating system
It's your call, but I don't think we can carry on when there's a chance that these programs are interfering

i have uninstall Norton AntiVirus 2005 (Symantec Corporation) Ver: 11.0.1 n Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 2006 n SpywareDoctor
my AV had scan this when i was connected 2 internet
Now, I'm confused, you removed all your AV software but your AV ran a scan?
Can you explain
The issues found by your AV are old exploits, without your system having the lates Windows updates you are
open for infection
I need you to remove your AV and try running those tools again
You still show signs of infections
Or, try the following
You appear to still have Norton AV installed
1. Start Norton AntiVirus.
If Norton AntiVirus is installed as part of Norton SystemWorks or Norton Internet Security, then start that program.
2. Click Options.
If you see a menu, click Norton AntiVirus.
3. In the left pane, click Script Blocking.
4. In the right pane, uncheck Enable Script Blocking (recommended).
5. Click OK.
Try running those bat files please
If they still won't run
Download and save to desktop
Fixswen.inf (http://\"http://download.nai.com/products/mcafee-avert/Fixswen.inf\") from McAfee's
RIGHT CLICK on Fixswen.inf and choose Install from the menu bar
Follow the prompt
Reboot the computer afterwards and try running one of those .bat files
We need to get some of these tools to run on your machine without interference

Your computer still shows signs of rootkit infection
You may want to do a complete reinstall of your operating system as we can't get none of the tools to run
Can you try one more thing
If your sure Norton's is totally uninstalled
Go to the following link using Internet Explorer
Norton's removal (http://\"http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039?Open&src=bar_sch_nam&docid=2004020314035036&nsf=tsgeninfo.nsf&view=docid&dtype=%E2%88%8F=&ver=&osv=&osv_lvl=\")
Run the removal tool
Ensure to reboot the computer afterwards and post a fresh hijackthis log
If your keeping Norton's installed on purpose
I'll refrain from any more instructions until you have done the above
-

My suggestion is to backup any important files or folders
Ensure they aren't infected
Prepare for a clean install of your operating system
As mentioned, the security of this machine is compromised
Immediately after you clean install visit Windows updates and get all Services packs and High Priority updates
Change all passwords on the machine and any online banking and email accounts
Use the following link to walk you through a clean install
Remember to use the delete partition
You want a clean install, not an install over the top
http://www.webtree.ca/windowsxp/clean_install.htm (http://\"http://www.webtree.ca/windowsxp/clean_install.htm\")
You may want to post back after you have done the above so we can get some tools on this computer to help prevent this in the future~

i dun have Windows XP CD now.

Is this a legal version of XP?
-
