Title: Folder locking programs

I'm looking for a reliable, free program that I can use on my computer to prevent other users accessing certain folders on my computer. It is a shared computer, so I just want to protect my own data from unworthy eyes.

Have you considered making separate user accounts, and making your folders private? How about making the folders you dont want everyone to have access to hidden? Cant open the folder if they dont know its there.

 But seriously guys, It's for other things than just that.

leon, your "hidden files" is n okay idea, but I'm talking actually a Program that does folder lock. I mean, I saw it on my dad's primitive mac like 7 years ago, so it can't be that hard to find something like that today...
As for doing a google search, I usually trust Google's content (I trust instinct as well IYK what I mean), but when It comes to software, I've had Waaay too many unfortunate run-ins with "the bad guys" to be satisfied with any non-acceptably referenced material...

download.com They test the software on their site for viruses and other malware. Plus, they'll let you know if the application comes with any bundled adware.
Oh, you'll need to remember where those hidden folders are located so you can find them again. I guess you know that you'll also need to change the view settings to hide/show hidden files and folders in folder options too.

If you go to a cracks/serials website, make sure your AV software is updated and working. They tend to be infested with malware.

Man, you really think you're being so perceptive, but god, can't anyone have the right to a little secrecy without everyone automatically thinking of Porn...
(I have a rather large collection of roms that I don't want my brother to access at times. Besides, I always liked those programs, I love passcodes and stuff like that /happy.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'^_^\' />

Or create a folder maze, i made a maze with like 700 folders and 40 difrent pathways, just typed the way out on a word doc and named it somthing no one would look in like, Homework2.exe
