Hi, I would like to install w2k on a computer at work, and when i went to boot it, it gave me the message that \"no operating system pressent\". I tried to boot from the cdrom by changing bios settings but that didnt seem to work. is there a way i can use a boot disk and boot from floppy or something. also how do i make the boot disk?

ok here\'s you\'re options as I see them both require using another machine but anyway
you can make a set of boot disks from your win2k disk in a folder called bootdisk you\'ll find a program called makeboot and makebt32 and I think you should be able to run makeboot from dos so I take back the use of a second machine comment
or there\'s an article called making win2k bootable on this site
here http://www.thetechguide.com/win2kbootcd/ (http://\"http://www.thetechguide.com/win2kbootcd/\")
which would be a longer route but a better long term solution
if you go that route check out the slipstreaming sp2 into win2k article and do them both at the same time eh?
hope it helps
