Title: missing windows file?

yeah i dont know whqats going on but my cr-rom drive is missing from the my computer menu

like when u go start menu then my computer
is there a way i can get it back ?
i tried system restore but nothing?
even when i put a disk in the drive it wont come up
any one know how to get it back?

did you tryed diskcleanup? /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' /> maybe to much trash... /biggrin.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':D\' /> or try defragmen /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

ok ill give it a go and see what comes from it.
but i dont even know y my cd-rom icon disappeared i just turned it on one day and its gone?

What operating system are you running?
ME or XP?

Have you tried the following if running XP

yes i am running xp
but the pc it had happened is not copnnected to interent i have to restore the cd-rom first so i can load the wireless router setup for the hardware and the network setup aswell
so is there a way i can download it on this pc and get it to my other one maybe by floppy disk?

What happened to the fix I posted earlier, did you even try it?
Read over your last reply and clue us in please

This is why I don't get to involved with other problems besides malware
Post your question in another forum and please be more legible than what you explained in your last post
If I find one more reply I don't understand, I won't even respond to it, hopefully others can chime in an help you out

i was saying that my cd-rom icon had dissapeared on my other pc, and it does not have internet connection so i could not use that fix u gave me
but what i did was put it onto a floopy disk and then to my other pc which the icon dissapered on and now it is fixed
so thanxs
and i reread my last post and u prob didnt understand casue when i type i type real gfast and usually make mistakes or leave out worlds lol

srry but thanx for the help it did fix my problem
