I am trying to help out a buddy at a site I know. He has a group of computers that connect to multiple servers via DHCP. Apparently he mistakenly had fired up an additional DHCP server by accident and it fed the wrong info to a certain group of workstations. He took the second DHCP server out of the loop and released the IP\'s on the machines and restarted them to connect to the proper DHCP. Problem is now it seems that the connection to the server that is running an MSDE engine is now like slow access to those machines only..but those machines appear to have no speed degradation on their ability to surf the web or connect to other servers... Could this chain of events put something strange in the registry that is causing additional hops on the network ?
