Title: Bootable CD
Post by: RLee on December 14, 2000, 11:45:17 AM
Ok now that we seemed to get the bootable CD to work correctly, does anyone know how to place an unattended Windows 2000 installation answer file on the CD and make it work?
It seems that the only way this will work is by placing the file on a floppy, I have tried it by placing the file on the root of the CD and it did not seem to find it.

Any help is greatly apreciated.

Here\'s some instructions I found, check out http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/win2k...tom_install.asp (http://\"http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/win2k_custom_install.asp\").  I may do a how-to on that as well if enough people are interested.

Has anyone tried a program like Nero Burning ROM to try and rip the boot track from the original CD?

Win2kCD Structure:
  |
L Boot Track (hidden from OS)
L Data Track (contains all files)

Try to rip the boot track as an image, and place that on a new CD as it\'s bootable image.
