Title: Helpppppppp!!!!!!!

ok i am a woman so i am dumb.. i just got an external hard drive Venus 3.5 HDD external box. I have installed it and it shows when i click on safe removal of usb but its not showing in my computer section and i have no idea how to transfer anything to it as it aint picking it up, i tried the help section and i answered the questions then it went to the final stage of seek advice elsewhere. I dunno wot else to try, it sed sumfin about configuring settings... ugh... someone helpppppppppp!!!!!!! please  :'(

First of all, which USB port is it plugged into (front or back)? If its plugged into a front port, try a rear port. What type of USB ports (1.1 or 2.0) do you have on the PC? Most often 2.0 is backward compatible with 1.1, but in some rare instances, it may not be.

First off being a woman does mean youre dumb.. i know men who cant even switch on a pc!

Yeah pluggin it into your back or front usb ports will be different. When you plug it into the usb port does it say anything/ like windows picking up Venus usb device... etc.

It might be that you need to go to your manage console and force the usb to use a different drive letter.
