i installed cpucool on windows xp system, and i got an error, that i needed to install iowp9598.vxd  and if i try to run program pc freezes any ideas why?

Maby a weird question....but is this proggy suposed to be used under XP ?? (I mean is it XP compatible ??)

yehhr, i installed cpucooler and set it to load at startup and now everytime i login my name it freezes (when cpucooler starts up) ANY IDEA's ON HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM!!

Those programs should generally be run under Win9x.  Windows NT (WinNT4, Win2k, WinXP, etc.) already have that function built-in, you don't need a separate program.

To remove, try booting in safe mode, then run msconfig to stop it from starting at boot.

Have you tried CPUIDLE? I used it when I had ME but don't know if it's OK for XP.

Did you try to run the program under Windows compatibility mode and set it to run like it's under Windows98.

I AM A USER OF SO-CALLED CPUCOOL9,BUT DON'T THINK IT IS SO COOL! I MET THE SAME PROBLEM WHEN IT IS UNINSTALLED UNDER WIN98. MY MACHINE LOST IOPW9598.VXD
