Title: nypur3hoppz, Should he be banned?
Post by: kingikz1001 on September 30, 2006, 12:22:58 PM
He was a past scammer scammed a phat ( can't remember witch colour ) and he has come back and screenshots suggest that he just attempted to scam several minutes ago.

Since he did scam before yes. but with the recent screen shots they didn't prove nothing. All it showed was that a fake pureblood had added him.

Hoppz was a good friend of mine, but I must say that his actions were unacceptable.  He deserves the ban.

Not saying I would disagree with a ban, but just to play Devil's Advocate, pretty much everyone knows that he is a scammer and most likely wouldn't even think of doing a transaction with him now-a-days... So would the ban really be effective or prove anything? Trusted Mills never got nearly as much publicity as nypur3hoppz did and therefore was not as well known as a scammer so him being banned prevented someone who was gone for awhile from being scammed by him again.  Nypur3hoppz is pretty much done with transactions (not sure if its true, just assuming) so what harm could he possibly do now? If it turns out he has created dozens of accounts then yea he should be banned big time...

Either way though he deserves it.. Just seemed liek this thread needed a little counter-argument so there it is.

Just looked up some stuff... Not sure if he is considered a scammer or trusted but kthxbai, nypur3hoppz and buying rs mils 7 each, all share the same IP coincidence? not a chance

See what the ip resolves to first.  If it looks like it's a dynamic ip address, see if they all signed up at about the same time.  It's possible they're just signing on from school, or use the same isp (latter is a bit less likely but still possible).  If they all have the same ip and signed up on the same day, then yeah that's pretty much definate unless it resolved to a school ip.  Several people could have decided to register at once (i.e., someone says "cool awesome site yo, check it out" and a few others do, and register also).

I'd say he should get a ban. if he scamed a p hat he may go further into scamming. Or give him 1 more chance and then he is gone.

Well the thing is, I pinned a topic about it and K Thx Bai is claiming to be his sister... Every person who makes a new account and I find out always says they are just related to them and use the same computer... Could they be telling the truth? Yea, but tis not very likely...

Tell him to get some proof it was his sister.
