I have already noticed how Techguide's Runescape section has advanced since I was last active here.  I see we have many new anti-scammers here that I'd like to get to know.  I little background on me is that I was a member here when techguide really started to take off and I was lucky enough to be a part of that growth process.  I was extremely active here offering help and advice whenever I could.  Soon enough, I had all my accounts and hard work completely banned by Jagex for helping out fellow players buy/sell accounts and buying/selling gold.  So I slowly began to fade away from the scene.  Well, now that I have more time on my hands and still attracted to Runescape, I'd like to rebuild that trust and once again help the community.  

The real purpose of this thread is really to ask you guys some questions such as:

1.) What should I really look for here on the forums in terms of spotting scams? Have player's creativity developed or are they the same obvious scams as before?

2.)  What methods do you guys use for Middle Maning? Forum conformation is always my first step, but in terms of in-game mming.  Is Jagex still strict about that, and are there things I can do to keep myself safer from getting myself and others banned?  Run me through a typical trade if you please could.

3.)  Any other input you may have on TechGuide or Runescape/Introductions.

I really look forward to start getting involved once again!

hey dude welcome back

i think i can answer a few of those questions

1.) No not really..they havent really developed since uve been done. Most scammers have impersonating emails..like one really close character in their email is dif from the REAL email. Or they will want to use a fake mm..or none at all....or they say their TTG site isnt working and cant send a comfirmation pm...ALMOST 99.9 percent of the time ttg is working for a pm.

2.)Basically same as always....for money middle man holds Rscash while the buyer sends the seller the rl cahs....ask other ppl bout account and pins ..not good at those lol

yea..i remember, zspec was the most trusted wen i first joined, and in my opinion still is, he wudve gotten just as much trades/mm's as bloodogre has if he had been here all this time.  New ppl may not recognize u or trust u zspec, but wen that happens, u can be sure u got the whole anti scammers team to back u up and recommend u /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />

I remember when you first joined here, though I didn't really know you all too well till you got like 800 or so posts, anyway the only thing I can think to tell you (you probably already picked it up) bloodogre is the new Antiscammer President, because like you I was never on and just started getting active again.
