Title: Copying winXP
Post by: notch on April 03, 2002, 11:06:15 AM
I have tried everything.  I want to copy winXp\'s i386 file to my HD, but every time I do it I get a copy error at some file.  \"Cycle redundcy error\" or something. I tried to copy it from different machines and different OS\'s. Is there some sort of copy protection on the cd, and if so; what can I do about it?

Any help is appreciated.

Yeah i hate that. What i found that works is using clonecd to make an image and then use Winiso to extract the files from it. Its a bit drastic but it does the trick. I dont know if the new version of clonecd does it because it has some feature in it to stop a certain feature in you live in a certain country. But any way make an image of winxp and extract what u want with winiso /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
