Title: Photoshop Installation problems
Post by: Xtreme on October 11, 2006, 03:31:22 PM
I am trying to get the free trial version of Photoshop CS2, It downloads fine and so is the opening of the zip file, but a message pops up when I try to run the setup.exe file

The message: This application has failed to start because epiv_eula.dll was not forund. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.        I have tried reinstalling the whole program, it worked on my computer before I had it flattened, any suggestions?

I know this may be a dumb question
But you MUST ensure you saved the zipped file to disk after you download the installer
Then you MUST UNZIP the file and run setup.exe from there
Are you sure you saved then unzipped the file?

epic_eula.dll
I think that's the file name you mean
It should be located in the Adobe folder

The concern here is, If you once had the trial version of Photoshop installed
and you are trying to reinstall it, it may not let you
The trial version is probably just that, a Trial

Unless you are download the full paid version you may be out of luck
This is just a guess however

Not sure what you mean by that, by flattened
Did you reinstall your Operating system or did you do a complete clean install?
If you did a clean install the trial would probably work, If it was reinstall over top, I doubt it
