Title: Window XP Corp / Pro
Post by: Anonymous on April 13, 2002, 10:45:49 AM
Hi all

Just a quick question - Is Windows XP Corporate edition the same as the XP Pro edition, just without the number of installs limit type thing (so does it acts like it\'s cracked, or if not, how does it work!!) . Any help, much appreciated, TIA

Cocksy

the corperate edition is the same as the pro version, the only difference being is that the corperate doesn\'t need activating..it has a volume liscence which can be used on many machines.

is the vol license still valid? i mean after so many people use the corp file, will not MS do something to stop it?

I believe the vol licence is still valid but they could change that with SP1, they could force a popuup with some message like \"The detected key used to install this version of windows is invalid, contact you vender for a valic cd key\", they did do this for office /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />
