DUPING USED TO BE REAL. Towards the beginning of the runescape 2 project duping was actually a problem. How do I know this? I played runescape 2(BETA) and actually had a program called "TSearch" which enabled me to dupe gold, BUT ONLY GOLD.
How it worked:
Ok, so I started off with 25 gp.
I typed in all this [censored] and got the lowest code number possible then I entered it.
It would give me 1k.
Then I would repeat the process until I had about 10-20mil.
About another year into the runescape project, the actual Runescape 2 MAIN SERVER had been released, and of course everyone who duped in the BETA thought they could dupe in the main client server. I was one of those people, I duped 5mil, and went out and spent it. I logged off.
Logged on about 2 days later, WHATDOYAKNOW I'm banned.

(AutoRune 1 was also a huge problem for the bitches-n-ho's and jagex in runescape classic, and I was also banned from that server)
If anything like this was mentioned in the video.. Oh well, I haven't watched it yet because its probably [censored]ing stupid.

it is real in your inventory, easy to do, but when dropped, put in bank, or traded, it goes back to its original form.

for everyone who reads this post , it will be most likley that you were not around when runescape classic was the only version of runescape. however, there was a very famous program that several of the greater runescape minds cuncocted and it was used to auto talk, kill, and whatever you wanted basicley. eventualy there would be thousands of immitations but there was one real bot.
here is the story of duping ( courtesy of xx jut xx )
The way the dupe worked was when in a trade screen it would put up a non-stackable item with an amount of zero, where it would normally be one. This would trick my side into thinking I put up nothing, and the other into thinking I put up one. So really, it's not duping because you don't need one to start with. It's more like "Creation." It also used an item ID. An item id is the number given to an item. No, each item does not have it's own ID. All r2h's are item 81, and all pink hats are item 580. This is why it is extremely hard for Jagex to find out which hats are real and which are fake.
with this meathod, the pink party hat, now referred to as the purple party hat had droped by over 13.8 milion gp in value in little less that one day. as a result may lost everything, and some gained the world. this is why purple is now the least expensive and why blue has taken over. i would like to add, if this dupe had never taken place, jagaex might have never updated their game and made it eventualy what it became. I am one to say thanks to the rule breakers becasue they have set grounds that everyone can enjoy! thanks for reading my post!

Moron.. NO DUPING EXISTS OR EVER HAS UB RS2!!!
There was a glitch in Classic that allowed you to put items into the general store and buy them in 10s even when you put in 1. So people would put PartyHats in for 1 gp each or w/e and then buy more. Soon, they could have 100s or 1000s of Phats. But all players found were banned.
There you go nooblet, there will never be Duping again in RuneScape.
