Title: DVD And CD draws not reading

I'm not sure why my cd-rw and DVD draws aren't working.

IDE DVD-ROM 16X and WSM-52Z Manufacturer is Compact. I haven't used them in a long time. I disable the drivers and reinstalled them but nothing. They seem to be trying to read but never do. When I try and run them manually they say the draws are empty and to insert the cd. But the cd's are in there.

You still have this problem?
Sometimes software such as Roxio's Easy Cd creator and/or Musicmatch Jukebox can cause havoc on cd/dvd drives
If you have either installed
Try removing them from add/remove programs

Reboot the computer
Then try following everything suggested at this link

I suggest trying steps 7. then 8.
 reboot the computer and see if it helps

I don't feel comfortable or experienced enough to perform that. So I either need to just go and buy new ones or may I ask if those procedures can be done remotely and would you be the person that does that.

Did you have any of those programs installed?
Did you remove them?

Yes I had Music Match. And maybe you could look on my reports because I am dealing with that zlob problem to see if I need to remove anything else that might be causing havoc:)

The want to rean but nothing comes of it.
