yes there is
if u have the CD or u have a copy on ur harddisk just start the installation as usual and then at the screen which prompts u of ur regional settings u\'ll find at the bottom a tab showing the word \" Advanced \" click on it then check the box at the bottom showing the text \" choose the setup path and installation bath during setup \" or something like that ,
and proceed with setup , now when u come to the blue dos screen after restarting which was prompting u for CD , u\'ll be surprised...

There\'s a cool way to install XP without cd, works with upgrade disc too.

First, use a win98/me bootdisk, works for this way
And download smartdrive (www.etplanet.com) really small file and put that on the bootdisk

Then format hard drive and after finished, copy smartdrive from floppy to cleaned hard drive, then run smartdrive, (type smartdrv.exe and you\'ll still be in dos) and then go to the cd rom with winxp disc, go into the i386 folder and type winnt
It\'ll start copying everything to the hard drive and then you don\'t need the disc anymore, COOL
