Here\'s a doozy.
Just formatted Laptop (High Specs)
Got myself a copied WinXP Pro CD to install but heres the prob, it refuses to read the damn cd?.
This CD runs on my desktop PC perfectly, and I\'ve tried it on other PC\'s too (which have been clean installed!) and the CD Reads fine both in dos and in windows.
I change the boot order so it\'ll read from CD but it get the invalid sys disk error. I\'ve used WinXP Bootdisks to install and as soon as it gets to the \'insert cd part\' it refuses to read the CD. I\'ve started PC with CDROM support (win98 bootdisk) and it will read every CD but the WinXP CD. Ive Reinstalled Win98 from CD and entered windows to try an install from the XP CD in there, same error the CD Will not read on this laptop but will read on many other pc\'s. And the Laptop will read all other CD\'s.
I\'m stumped...
anyone help?
