One day I was at my friends house and he was playing RS and It looked interesting (keep in mind this was RSC not RS2) so I was like wow this is amazing because at the time this was the best free game online. I returned home and went online and created an account. I was officially hooked on runescape at that point. Once summer was over, school started and my parents noticed that my grades weren't to good and they figured that it was me playing RS (but it wasn't) so guess what they did they decided to ground me from runescape for about a month and that still did nothing so they grounded me more and more and more, soon enough I had already missed the christmas crackers and pumpkins. That's only the beginning, so then it was summer again and I was allowed to get on runescape and I had noticed a lot has changed such as; RS2, all these party hats, and some new items and all that good stuff. I had fun with RS2 and still played RSC mostly. Then came the item duping craze in RSC everyone was rich including me I got to get a Pumpkin, Easter Eggs, and Partyhat but before that Jagex had switched all the character data from RSC to RS2 so I didn't have those things on RS2. Then the next school year started and on the first day I forgot my book in my locker and my parents totally went off the walls on that they grounded me from using the computer for that entire school year and most of the summer which inturn made me extremely pissed off at the entire f*cking world and you might call this my 'EMO' stage and it was so bad I actually almost got my dad's 22 and shot my mom because my dad just did whatever my mom said he didn't even care what I did. So after that was over I missed the halloween masks, santa hats, and bunny ears.
By then RSC was dead and I played RS2 less and less until I only got on like once a month. The next school on the first six weeks I made a C and my parents grounded me yet again from Runescape for yet another year even though I only played like once a month. Then I just quit altogether only getting on for holiday drops and the occasional quest, and even today I get grounded from getting on the computer for grades even though it doesn't help my grades whatsoever.
Now here is how it helped me.
Runescape got me interested in making websites and games so that I can have a wonderful career in webdesign or game design even now as a teenager I own and operate 5 websites and make about 1 game a month but not lately because I am currently rebuilding my website from scratch pretty much and making a game for the Nintendo GameCube and possibly Xbox, PS2, and the next Gen consoles.
This story is completely true, it is a story of my life while playing runescape, and if you don't believe it then you go to hell or bite my f*cking a*s.
I hope what happened to me will never happen to you and hopfully it encorages you to stop playing Runescape because it is a waiste of your time.

This is the kinda stuff you hear in the news, but yeah...I realised its kind of a waste of time, and I've quit too.
Now if only someone would sell me a xbox360, I'd be done with rs for a loooong time if not forever.

Although i only recently stoped playing runescape and i feel great /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' /> apart from my aching arms from working our rofl /tongue.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':P\' /> I found that runescape lowered my intelegents and my speech. Now it's all comming back to me. I focused to much of my brain power on runescape causing me to become less intelegent. Now my grades are all good getting close to an honor mark /smile.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\':)\' />.My parents don't ground me, instead they give me that sad and dissapointed look, funny thing it kinda works :\. Your parents (no offense) seem to take the easy way out by grounding you. In my oppinion and many of my friends say that grounding them causes them do continue to break the laws and rules.
