a steam account is a game you use that acc to log into a system which you can register games and play for free, but you must purchase the game and enter the cd key in order to play. I have 2 steam accounts, one for counter strike 1.6 ( a first person shooter ) and one for a counter strike source ( another first person shooter, but better graphics )

alot... But i suggest not getting alot of games, unless you have a really fast computer. Cause counter strike takes up 7mb im pretty sure

go for it if u really want too i suggest runescape cause its just as fun but not as addictive, and it cost less
