I think most of them are suspended....

allanon just got IP banning abilities so im sure alot of the scammers made new accounts.

it would probably take time...alot of time...since most ppl have around 4 IP's that they use regularly (house, office, shool, etc.)...scammers usually have more than that...and when u take into account just how many scammers there all...it would take forever...

again...we need more mods

but this needs to be done

plus if the person is using dial up  its a different ip each time

yeah nacotix...thats what i was getting at...if we had more...it would be easier to ip block them all...plus it would be easier to keepthem off afterwards...


we just need more mods...rs2mm has like 50...lol

i agree also ip wouldn't stop "all scammers" they would use a different proxy like proxyfoxy.com (http://\"http://proxyfoxy.com/\")

IP bans aren't as effective as you think.  Most people, even those with broadband, have a dynamic ip address.  So to ban them, you have to ban the whole range of ip addresses they could use.  Which means you just banned a lot of people.  Some of the ips I've banned turned out to be for a school, of course I got a lot of complaints then.  And don't get me started on aol ips...they often use one ip for a boatload of people (like a proxy), so that's no good.  You should see the ip bans that we do have, it's several pages long.
