Title: dont no pass to computer

my friend doesnt not he pass to his sisters old computer that he received, its running windows xp home edition, how can he log in or get pass the login screen.
 
 ive heard that -  crtl+alt+del 2 times at login screen and put administrator as username works but havent tried it yet
 
 will it?
 
 or any other ways

There are ways around it, but can I ask
If this your friends Sisters computer, can't you ask her for the password???

they havent known the pass to this computer for over 2 years now and are hopping to use it for file downloads if we can get into it

Can you restart the computer into safe mode
Tap the F8 key as the system is restarting, right after the single beep
Choose safe mode from the options on the screen
When you get a choice of which account to log into, select the Administrator account
If it asks for a password, by chance one may not be set, hit Enter on the keyboard

If that gets you into the Admin account
Go into User Accounts in the Control panel
Select your sisters account and delete the password
Does that help?
