me and allanon are in on the beta testing...we just dl'd tonight...i played for about 5 hours today...if u like WoW, u will LOVE this...
it has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with lord of the rings...except for the occasional "look over there, its the hobbits!"...other than that...it is pretty much just like WoW, except it has SKILLS!!!

also, when u read through the LOTRO FAQ's...it clearly says one of the future updates will be player owned housing...
so basically, its combining WoW with Runescape...its still very much a Combat Game, but has skills to back it up...plsu, the graphics are less cartoonish that WoW, and blow RS's off the charts (like any MMORPG)
come test it out, Beta testing lasts 4 more days...but if u sign up for beta testing...u get a special Beat Tester discout on member subscriptions for the rest of ur accounts life...$9.99 a month compaired to the $14.99 that every1 else will be paying

this is the OFFICIAL lord of the rings MMORPG...in development for like 5 years...based on the books (including The Hobbit)
but i just spent the entire day playing...lvl 9 so far
yesterday the entire day i was playing...i never left this town (and neighboring towns) called Archet...and i thought that archet was the whole game (it seriously is big enough to be)...and then i went online and got a map of the LOTRO world...and saw the Archet was this little tiny city (of about 20)...and then...i saw a button at the top that said "see the other maps"...and i realised that the map i was looking at was 1 of 8...so Archet (the little town big enough to be the whole game) is actually just this VERY SMALL little dot when all 8 maps are put together...
seriously...if u had ur little character walk from one end of the map to the other...it would take 2 full days (48 hours straight)...not joking
its going to be the next big thing...so come down join the beta testing (only in beta testing for 3 more days)...beta testing is free...but after that...u have to buy the disc and pay the monthly fee...(monthly fee is $10 if you pre-order the disc...or $15 if you order it after the launch)...so u can cut ur monthly fee in a third if you ORDER NOW!
im not joking when i say this is 100 times better than runescape...and you really can barely tell that this game has anythign to do with Lord of the Rings

cuz it said "stick to the naming guidelines right under where u put what name u want...so i felt like being a dork and putting it...lol
i also have 4 other account that i havent started yet...but figured i might as well reserve the names:
a dwarf-champion named "heavyset"...a hobbit burglar named "burgerburglar"...an elf lore-master named "character"...and an elf hunter i forgot the name of...
